Why BioRider?
The municipalities of Užice and Sevojno face growing challenges: increased motor traffic, air pollution and degradation of natural areas along the Đetinja river. Many residents of Užice work in factories in Sevojno and commute daily by car or bus. Cycling can significantly improve quality of life, reduce CO₂ emissions and reconnect the community with nature.
Project Goals
Revitalizing the Đetinja Riverfront
Renewal as a connection between Užice and Sevojno
Improving Sustainable Mobility
Between the two municipalities through cycling and active transport
Participatory Planning
Encouraging joint initiatives and co-creation with citizens
Ecological Awareness and Biodiversity
Protecting the Đetinja river ecosystem and improving green infrastructure
Inter-municipal Cooperation
Strengthening long-term ties between Užice and Sevojno
NEB Values
The New European Bauhaus rests on three pillars that are at the heart of the BioRider project.
Sustainability

Inclusiveness
200+ engaged citizens, special focus on marginalised groups. Participatory approach at the centre of every step.
Aesthetic Value
Eco-art installations, cultural heritage, public space beauty as a community driver.
