As part of the BioRider project, a creative workshop on the biodiversity of the Đetinja River was held in Užice, dedicated to the birds that live along its banks. The workshop brought together children and service users of the Association of People with Muscular Dystrophy of the Zlatibor District, who explored the birds of their surroundings through discussion, research and creative work. The tables were covered with illustrations of birds that participants observed, compared and talked about, before turning them into their own drawings and artworks.

The workshop continues the project's work on the biodiversity of the Đetinja riverfront, with the idea of bringing the nature of the river closer to the youngest and involving different groups in the community in the BioRider process. The works created at the workshop will be exhibited at the project's closing event early next year, and we have asked participants to draw more birds that live in their surroundings, so that the exhibition is as rich as possible. We thank our hosts for their hospitality and everyone who contributed to this gathering with their drawings and stories. The BioRider project is co-funded by EIT Urban Mobility and carried out by the Regional Development Agency Zlatibor, Green Mobility and the Institute of Architecture and Urban & Spatial Planning of Serbia (IAUS).
